Exceed Breaks Ground with Unparalleled Underground

By Angelica Otto - July 5, 2022

Mullen High School will be a complete upgrade to Sferra Hall as well as full demo and build-back of the 2-level north building A.  Sferra Hall and the North A building will be joined by a new connecting space that will include a new student activity center.  Upgrades include full interior electrical infrastructure and upgraded lighting fixtures with integrated controls, electrical distribution system, and branch power.  Level #1 of Sferra Hall will include (6) new classrooms, conference room, multiple upgraded office spaces, and a circulation space with an open floor-plan.  Level #2 of Sferra Hall will include additional classrooms as well as student circulation space and faculty offices.

Exceed has currently completed the upgrade to the utility transformer infrastructure – Plans include removing the existing Xcel utility transformer that currently sits where the new structure adjoining Sferra Hall and the North building A will be built.  Complete upgrade of the electrical distribution system is required due to greater power demands of the finished project.

Full BIM “building Information Modeling” including all distribution, branch power, lighting fixtures, and fire alarm systems has been started with Exceed to parallel the design from Hord, Coplan, Macht Architecture. Subscibe to our blogs to follow the progress of Mullen High School and to see the completed project.
